Quirks?? What Quirks?????

Well maybe a few. See if these qualify as quirks.

1) I can't leave food on the plate. Have to finish all I take out before I quit.

2) This one goes along with the first one. I have to eat leftovers quickly--as in everyday until they are gone. I guess it comes from years of being told not to waste food.

3) I need to have doors closed. It drives me up the wall if someone just pushes the door and leaves it to completely close on its own. Mainly because they never completely close that way.

Looking at the list, those aren't really quirks, thats just the way everyone should be. Since I can't think of any quirks I have I'll just leave this as it is. At least I tried to play the game.

What a great "Herd"

When I stop and think about all that goes around me with the "Herd" it brings great joy . How amazingly lucky I've been to have my "Good Looking" as the mother of our children. Each of the "Herd" has some distinguishable characteristics that can come from no one else. As I try to keep up with all that goes on , the Blogs are indispensable. Thanks to #3(~e) for the example she sets for the rest of us. Even if we can't come close to her style and ability, we at least add our little bit to the family through the talents we have. Now, next is a list of some of the talents of the "Herd" from my point of view.

#1 Willingness to work and devotion to family
#2 Intelligence and perseverance
#3 Organized and great example of Faith in Jesus Christ
#4 Love of children and willingness to give of his time for others
#5 Compassion and concern for everyone
#6 Constant and dependable
#7 Spiritual and hard working
#8 Independent and intelligent
#9 Loves life and cares about everyone
#10 Organized and helpful, thinks of others before herself
"Good Looking" has all of the above characteristics, and has passed them on to her offspring. You see now some of the blessings the Lord has given to me. The movement that goes with this "Herd" is always a treat to follow. They keep something going all the time. It is easy to Love everyone of them.

What to say when you have nothing to say?

Maybe just a few words to let you know I still am trying to write something regularly.

The trip up and back to Falls town went alright. Going up #9 slept, so I had 2 hours of quite. Coming back was better. #9 rode with TGLWIM(The Good Looking Woman I Married), and #1 and 001 rode with me. #1 wanted me to try to get her laptop connected to the Internet on their new isp. We discussed a number of interesting things on the way home. I am sure that even though I can't tell about the discussions, if they are pertinent to a discussion I will remember them. The feelings during the ride are still strong, and that is a good thing. I wasn't successful in hooking her laptop to the Internet at her house,so ended up taking it home with me. After a little head scratching the laptop is now connecting with my Internet isp. Next step, try again at #1's house. Right now the time isn't clear.

Wylie E., thanks for inviting us to your birthday party. Lots of fun things going on in Falls town on Sunday 9-14-2008. Hope #6 gets pictures up soon. The first birthday cake to feed myself type.

At work we are moving to a new building on 10-9 & 10-10. I haven't seen my new office yet. The consensus from those who have is that the white walls are sure bright. Waiting to see for myself. Not in a very big hurry. Will be cleaning out unnecessary items in my old office between now and then.

Looking forward to #8's visit. He keeps on saying he is coming for his birthday. That was 9-10, seems to be running a little behind schedule. Things don't always work the way we would like them too.

Next time some of the herd heads to the Temple, I have some names that need work done. Anyone interested ?

Spelling correctly isn't necessary

Reference previous post. When talking about a group of farm animals the word should be spelled herd, not heard. For those of you who were trying to figure out what the deeper meaning of the statement was, you give me too much credit for being a deep thinker. My thought was --if this is the hollowayfarm, then the family is a herd, my poor spelling made it look different. To the credit of "Mander" and "Al" they seemed to know me well enough to figure out what I meant even though it wasn't clearly set out.

Thanks for all the comments. I was surprised at the number of people wasting time on my blog.
Thank you ~e for pointing your followers to my place.

In my recent reading I came across a thought to share with ya'll. If your testimony is based on reason and logic it will be torn by the winds of doubt. It can easily become uprooted by the constant winds of adversity. If it is based on Revelation, the rock of Jesus Christ's church, it has a much stronger hold and is less likely to be uprooted. When the truth is witnessed to you by the Holy Spirit that is Revelation. My testimony has always been based on the witness from the Holy Spirit of the truth of The Book of Mormon. When I think of my life it is easy for me to see all the good things that have happened to me since I joined The of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Our large herd is made up of several smaller herds. Anyone who would like to be part of our herd is welcome. Your comments and suggestions have been seen. I will check with my several tutors on ways to implement them. To those of you who aren't biological children and would rather not think of me as Dad, Mr.H. works for me.

New things keep the mind active

You would think there were plenty of things to say when you start one of these new fangled things. Unfortunately, they all seem to have taken a vacation.

At least I have gotten to the point that if I can think of anything to say I have a place to say it.

So much for being able to start a blog with more pazazz than some of the rest of "The Heard".

This will be a work in progress. I hope to be able to progress a little on a regular basis. Hopefully I can express some of the things I regularly think about.

If I can get a little tutoring I will fill out the home page with interesting things like the rest of "The Heard".
