I received a letter from Sue Prentice, my cousin, about the Meek Cousin' Reunion . The time and place for the next get together is May 28 through 30 2010 in Oklahoma City. This is in the planning stages at the present time. I need each of my "clan" to answer a few questions. (Did you notice you are now a "clan") Please take a few minutes to consider and answer the following questions.
Would you attend a Friday night dessert/visiting time?
Would you attend a Saturday noon meal?
Would you attend a Sunday noon meal?
Are you in favor of having a auction for a fund raiser?
Would you bring something to be auctioned?
I will probably try to attend the Saturday noon meal. Arrive early and stay late.

what exactly Meek cousins would be included in this reunion?
My mothers nieces and nephews, and there children. Plus any of my aunts and uncles who can come. The adventure is in meeting new people you didn't even know you were kin too.

Meeting new people that I didn't know I was related to is the part I'm scared of! I talked to Casey and we're not really excited about going - Maybe I have a bad idea of family reunions from the ones we went to when I was younger...they were really boring. Sorry dad! I don't want to sound mean, but that's where this part of your clan stands now :)
Yeah Dad I don't think I will be going either. You know having 3 babies and driving that far to meet people I don't know just doesn't sound like a lot of fun to me!

We do an auction every year for our Defoor reunion and use those funds to pay for a meeting room and catering the next year. It works really well. Feel free to give me a shout if you want details!
